Smog help

So im in California,
I just bought an EVO 8 and it has INJEN carb upper and lower intercooler piping .. it also has an injen intake with carb sticker..aswell as a DC sports turbo back exhaust

ive done some research and some of the turbo back exhaust systems seem to have the downpipe and cat pipe section all as one piece, while other turbo back exhaust systems have them as 2 different pieces so that you can put the stock cat back in for smog.

unfortunately i think the DC turboback is the one piece which would mean i need to buy a stock cat, aswell as a stock downpipe.

my question is, will the stock cat and downpipe fit with a 3 inch exhaust?

i obviously know the piping is different size, but is the flange the same?

i really need to pass smog in 2 days so i can register the car!!

text or PM me for ANY help

Yes it will bolt up. I would run a 3" cat if I lived there again.

You should have let the owner deal with this. His/her responsibility to SMOG a car in California before selling, unless you bought it out of state.

Ive p.m.ed you all

so what if i just buy a cat pipe(evo 9) (so the 02 bung is on the top) and a downpipe (140 bucks for both)

would those be fine?

i noticed he has an aftermarket 02 housing pipe too, but including the stock one (sitting in the trunk) , so put on the stock 02 housing, stock downpipe and stock cat pipe? and then i should be straight for atleast the sniffer test?

I'm not familiar with California's inspection. Do they do a visual too?

In Colorado I'd just run the cat.

Does the DC cat/turbo back and O2 housing have a carb cert? If not I'd go oem turbo back.
