Exclamation Mivec cam trigger wheel and Camshaft position sensor scratched

so here we go with the on going P0365 saga. after replacing my camshaft position sensor I still encountered the same code. I just recently replaced MANY parts with no positive outcome. something told me to check the sensor again....... needless to say the magnetic part of the sensor had vertical scrapes all along it and the trigger wheel has scratches along the out side as if they were rubbing OR there was metal at some point caught on the sensor and rubbed against both. I have kelford 272's which were installed around fall of 2010. after reading up on multiple threads that's the same time where evo owners had the same cams snapping. so can someone answer me this. are those cams machined incorrectly to the point where they would cause the trigger wheel to spin incorrectly and cause damage? ive emailed kelford twice in about a week with no reply and im still waiting on an answer to the problem.

rotate the engine over by hand with the trigger wheel cover off. Does it touch the sensor or rotate off center? Is the trigger wheel in the groove of the cam fully? I had run into an issue where it took a little extra effort to get the trigger wheel to seat fully. Did you replace the sensor with an oem intake sensor?

I'm sure these questions have been asked, but not in this thread.

I'm going to hopefully check tonight because i had limited time to do things yeaterday. Yes it was an OEM sensor from a local mitsu dealer. Once any progress is found I will post an keep it updated
