200 miles to the tank

Like the title says i only get about 190-200 miles to the tank. I'm always reading that people get 250-275 miles to the tank. My car is bone stock and i always shift at 2500-3000 rpm. What do you guys recommend? Is it cuz i pump 91? The air filter looks fine, i did a fuel siren treatment, i checked the spark plugs and they look a lil burnt but will it cause me to get 14mpg? any other suggestions?
Thanks

The first thing to check for would be boost leak. Then after that check the tune or get retuned. Get a boost gauge to see how much boost you are using per shift. I get way better mileage when the boost is left in vacuum. Then if your mileage is still bad its other issues.

keep under vacuum and you will be fine. i get about 225 usually on a tank. its hard to stay out of boost sometimes you know? anyway, you shouldnt be worried about gas mileage if you own an evo.

I kinda get the same mileage. Around 200 to 220 with a little boosting here and there, but then again that's driving in the city about 90% of the time

What type of driving? Highway or city.

I do a mix 75/25 and I get about 280 on 93. On E85, forget it, it's like 180-210.

I get about 280 miles on 91 octane and 240 on E85 with S2's and boost at 25/30 respectively.

IDK if having the stock (faulty) cat causes lower mpg, but not that much. Something is definitely up. What mods do you have? Has it always been low? What changed?
  1. Get a boost leak test done.
  2. Get EvoScan, a Tactrix cable, and a WB
  3. Set up a tune (with me)

Well i don't mind getting 200 miles to the tank. I'm just saying if i can achieve the mpg's other people get why not ask? But I'm bone stock and i bought the car about 2 months ago so i always got 200 miles to the tank. My commute is only 10 miles on pretty long straights. I do about 5 stops on the way to work

You may have aftermarket injectors that you don't know about.

20mpg highway is also pretty low... I get at least 25, up to 29 when I do highway driving only.

OP, other than the other things that have already been mentioned, it could also be your front o2 sensor that is starting to fail.

I get just around 21mpg and I have cams and almost all bolt ons with stock turbo making about 370hp.. When I was stock and just had a tune my gas mileage increased.. They run these cars pig rich from the factory..

does your car go completely straight? if your alignment is off it can effect MPG as well

Limited range is probably the biggest downside of the Evo in my mind - most of the time 200 miles per tank or maybe a little bit more - 0 toe front/rear, custom mapped, stock tire size. I just can't keep my foot out of it no matter where I drive ....
