diagnosing possible wheel bearing noise

So i have been tracking down a noise i had beleived to be wheel bearings. I have rotated and installed new tires so i ruled that out as a possibility. It honestly sounds like all four bearings are making noise rear more so than front. Not a single wheel has even a slight amount of play. Car just hit 90k, its on 04. Im thinking about doing trans, t-case and rear dif fluids in the coming weeks( its gotta be well due anyways). I should be able to rack the car up tomorrow, going to check out carrier bearings and see if that could be a possibility, any help is well appreciated, doing 4 bearings is going to be rather pricey haha.

Well it could still have a bad wheel bearing even though its not loose, however the chances of all 4 howling are pretty rare. Where in NEO do you live?

Yeah i'm 99% sure that ALL 4 bearings are the problem. I'd suggest you jack her up the spin all 4 tires one by one & listen for the sound also where it's coming from

These evo wheel bearings can be a bit more tricky to diagnose. I posted a video of a bad front wheel bearing and it was really audible. Unfortunately it actually wasn't really all that noticeable until I completely removed the whole wheel bearing assembly off the car and spun it by hand. What it would do is want to bind up when you spin it, then it catches and spins freely. When it spun freely it would be somewhat loud.

See, I have the same problem. I could have sworn it was my passenger front right wheel bearing. Replaced it with a brand new one, still squeaks. Still squeaks. But the thing that gets me is, I hear it driving straight at any rpm range, but never turning left, only right. I know that's classic signs of left ones being bad. My car has 105xxx miles and I'm just going to replace them all with oem bearings. Those wholesale prices are a hell of a lot better than actual.

When you replace wheel bearings you should just replace both rear/front, because the other one is soon to go after.

Can you give me the tread depths on all your 4 tires across(outer edge/mid/inner edge)?

Do you have a stethoscope?
I'm assuming it's growling with long drone type noise when turning either sides or the noise stay's the same even when going straight?

Do you feel like you have to give more gas/power?

Im located in mantua, between like aurora, ravenna and streetsboro. Ill get tread depths when i get off work. Noise does change ive notice when turn( identical noises left to right but its a different noise than going in a straight line.) No stethoscope, and i dont need more throttle to get it rolling or anything, no change in mpg, just checked last night, 21.8mpg, same as normal and from what i have read thats average for city driving

If you can't get it figured out I can always go for a ride with you on a weekend after next week. I live in Stow, so pretty close to you.

Yea check the tread depths on the tires, any slight out of roundness in the tire. If you find nice long curvy road take it on there where you have to make left or right turn for like a 1 mile or so. And you'll figure it out if it's the tires or the bearings.

Try trading wheels with your boi, and see if the noise goes away. Tire compound can be too hard. Had the same problem with my car until I switched to Cooper Zeon Tires. 100% difference. I don't think all wheel bearings will go out at the same time. I use to work in an Alignment shop that had a machine that would spin one wheel at a time to check if the wheel bearings are going out. Also keep in mind that Evo's don't have much sound deadning materials so any wheel noise will be evident.
