There's nothing wrong mechanically with a salvage titled car if the repairs are done completely and professionally.

That's what I thought doesn't it have to pass a check list to even get a slavaged title ??

Depending on what happened the insurance company will deem it a total loss. You can then either have them take it or negotiate to buy the car back and repair it. Normally the insurance company will deem a car a total loss if they calculate that the cost to repair is not worth what the car is worth. It doesn't necessarily mean that the car is junk, if it gets repaired correctly the state will then have to inspect it and give it a new rebuilt title.

it all depends. Where was it hit? how many miles are on chassie? does it drive 100% normal? If it has less then 35k on chassie and drives perfect i think 13-14k is fair.

Id offer him 8-9k sounds really shady. I mean you can get a Evo clean title for 13-14k with almost the same mileage. id pass with this guy.

HAHAHA hell my EVO's only worth 8k if that and it has 100% Clean Title.

Salvage title, high millage mixed up parts. I wouldn't even entertain the seller with an offer IMO. But 5k-7k would be about it

Yea, I would give yourself some wiggle room for his mistakes when it comes to pricing. However if the guy is telling you it has a salvage title at least he is trying to be honest.
