05 evo with 104.4k on it. In the last ~500 miles I've had the 3 lights. Usually after a little driving. I've read about testing if the pump works. I turn the key to on. Wait 4 seconds, then floor gas pedal. I hear the pump go for a bit, then the sound changes a bit. This goes on for like 20 seconds or so then stops and the 3 lights reapear. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Has it only been happening in hot weather? Sounds like the pump can't hold pressure anymore which is why your lights come on.

If the pump noise is changing... it could be as simple as air in the system.

What have you done, or have you done anything that may have led to this?

 

Pretty much, the seals are junk. I know they have a rebuild kit for the ACD pump somewhere. I had the same issue with the ACD pump on my 9 but luckily I had it replaced before warranty ran out.

 

Ah lame. Ill check it out then.

 

www.acdtuning.com ask Matt Manke. He can rebuild the pump or send you a kit and tool to rebuild yours. Personally id just have him do it.

Yea you pretty much ship them your unit and from the site it says rebuilds cost $600 so it's about 1/3 the price of having the dealership replace the pump.
