Paint chip --_--

So....today while power washing the door handle, part where your knuckles touch while opening your driver door(vision it) part of the black paint chipped off now its WHITE!!! The complete opposite of black so it really stands out. How can i fix this, I'll be dipping my whole car but I'm stupid and OCD so I wanna know the paint isn't chipped even though its all gonna be covered, would a paint pen suffice?

well...

If you are OCD, then no, a paint pen will not suffice.

A paint pen will fill the chip, but the thickness of the paint will be different, so it will be noticeable.

You can use a paint pen. Let it cure, sand it flush, then re-do it, then sand it flush, then polish it.

OR.

Find a "paintless dent repair" place... They do minor jobs like that, and can sand it, air-brush it and polish it.

From memory, there's a place in NOVA called "dentmasters" or something similar... they can fix that for you in under a day.

fix it with paint from this site, the color is dead on, even though I'm sure black is easy to color match. http://www.automotivetouchup.com/

actually black is HORRIBLE to match. There are a million different versions of "black" However, remember, he said he is OCD.

It's not the color that will be the problem, it's that the chip will change the surface "flatness" therefore it needs to be built up, then sanded flat and polished.

Black is especially sensitive to surface imperfections due to the way it reflects light.

Exactly, it's the finish that gonna bug me. Would this be really difficult to do alone or would a place like mentioned, dent repair be a good solution that won't cost a ton.

to be honest... The fact that you're asking the question means it's beyond your knowledge/abilities.

you're going to need to know how to wet sand and polish. You will need polishing machines and professional polishes/abrasives.

places like the one I mentioned don't charge much at all. take it on down there and get an estimate
