Evo 8 MR Misfire Help

Hello

I have a 2004 Evolution 8 MR 320 from out of the UK.

The car is standard and only has a full exhaust and hks drop in panel air filter.

The car was fine the other day until I drove it quite hard. After that I shut it down and went to sleep for the night. The following day I got up and drove normal but it started to misfire and hesistant while coming on load and or boost. This happens throughout the Rev range and it wont accelerate.

I'fe done the following so far:

Installed new spark plugs (old ones were fouled)
put in new gas with injector cleaner
changed coil packs
Changed cam sesnor

However the problem still persists. I am getting no CEL a d the car drives fine if I am not in to much boost, but by the time I go on boost and put load on the system it misses.

Any suggestions guys? I am going to change fuel filters tomorrow we have whit gas where I live.

Don't go changing things *****-nilly. Diagnose the problem.

Make sure you have the basic things, fuel, spark, compression. I'd double check timing.

So it turned out to be part of my HKS drop in filter stuck in the airbox.. piece of it broke off the air filter is falling apart.

Once I removed the piece and the air filter and run the car without the filter it's fine.

Wow something so small can cause so much stress

It would have caused a lot more distress if a piece made it to the turbo. That would be the last HKS drop in filter I ever bought.
