has anybody moved their fuel gauge???

im trying to swap my fuel gauge to the spot where it says "lancer" on the cluster. i tried searching but only found other people in my same predicament. has anyone done this at all? i want to do it because i have a dual gauge pod on my steering column and it covers the fuel gauge, but the "lancer" is in perfect sight. hopefully someone knows something. thanks.

I think it's better to put your AFR gauge there...I've seen it done many times + I think it'll be way easier

Look at the pictures.i think you can do it,extend wires maybe.but fuel gauge has 2 rivets.don't know how to remove it nicely

yea those pics look promising. i just wish i could see behind them, hopefully the wires have some slack behind them to stretch, if not how would i extend the wires? just like, cut the wires and extend them with a 16 gauge wire and solder? sorry for the newb questions. im not a genious with electrical work lol

I've never done that before too.but I would cut the wire and solder them together.but to be honest it's probably cheaper and less time consuming to buy single pod column gauge .

Can anybody confirm that it is in fact just a wire and some rivets holding the gauge down? And if possible what size wire would i use to extend it if needed?
