25g kinugawa Turbo install

Just bought one if these turbos and I am very impressed with it, gas milage increase, exhaust got quieter, loud when you get on it. And easy install

Only problem I have is boost. I preloaded the wastegate to the max on the stem. And I only got up to 19 pounds.

If you bought this turbo do you have to swap wastegate springs or modify/swap wastegates?

I preloaded mine all the way as well and with the yellow spring (14.7) I have only been able to get 12 psi wastegate..... I am trying to find options but looks like I am just going to have to call up kinugawa and get the 1.7 or 2.0 bar spring

This is the conclusion so yes you need a spring
First picture shows the measurements of the wastegate holder the kinugawa is 2 1/4" vs the oem holder of 1 1/2". I tied to see if the oem would fit the kinugawa but the hole is to big and it slodes over the top

Second picture shows the stem measurements which are about the same except kinugawa is an eighth of an inch taller and the threading is more closed in

Does anyone know if the forge spring will work with the kinugawa wastegate?

Cut 1/4" off the "stem" as you call it. Should preload fine.

Well I thinking about just grinding down the holder to the oem size so I can preload it better

Change the wastegate?

Does anyone know if you can swap out the kinugawa WG for a different brand?
Like maybe a forge (19-24 psi or a FP 25 PSI WG)?
If both of these brands fit then is the Forge better then the FP
or is the FP better then the forge?
Im having trouble getting to 30 PSI.

Thanks

Yes you can swap saw pictures with a forge on there. Forge is pretty good im going to see how this one plays out I have a red spring coming in a couple days. Never been to 30 psi assumption is do you have an omni 4 bar sensor?

From what I read if your doing more than 30psi then yes im not sure of the reason but I wanted to do 30 psi on my 9 turbo but realized it would knock too much because of efficiency
