stock evo 8 at strip

stock evo 8 at strip

Ran my pretty much stock evo 8 at the strip tonight best time was 13.8812 1/4 terrible reaction time of .9810. Wondering what some of the better driver's numbers are?

Reaction time doesn't mean anything, the timer doesn't start until you move off the line. A good '60 is around 1.7 and there are several stock Evos running 12.9 in the 1/4.

That sounds really slow. How were you launching? What mods.

ran intake, tbe and crappy tune (closes to stock i can get for track reference) 13.2 @ 108 keep in mind the car has 144k and is tired out LOL

what were your 60 foots? 13.88 means you can get faster or that track blows. most of the time the lauch and the 60 foot and 330 determines most of your overall et

My launches were terrible ive only drag raced 4 times they were all last night. Stock tune, three inch tbe, cai, injen uicp not the short route

5.8 for the 330, im sure the track I went to isnt all that great but im going to a tribute the time to my lack of skill

^^^^ if its on stock rom it should not have launch control....the ix came with that.

Im not one to talk, i dont even like launching my car. Im assuming your time came off bogged launches. But your on the stock drivetrain, better a slow time while having fun than a blown transfer case.

13.4 at 105 with a 1.98 60' on the stock rom with tbe 17psi (i think) and intake w/ i think it was 105k miles on it. havent had a chance to go back now i have the 2step on.

Yea I was using my two step and slipping the clutch quite a bit didnt want to blow my transfer case going to boostin at the end of the month to get car dyno tuned didnt really feel like blowing the transfer case before the tune or the shoot out

I ran a 13.4 with my bone stock 9, thats not horrible but u could probably knock off a couple more tenths
