I went to the Nürburgring today. Did 1 lap in my 2005 Evo RS but didn't push it at all. I got on the track after a accident and the track just reopened so everyone was trying to get on. First time on a track and it was amazing! I was slow though lol. Had a blast especially when the McLaren MP4 passed me. Saw like 6 or 7 Evo's from UK it looked like.

Lap Time: Between 12:35-13min (not sure how long it took to start the camera) for those asking.
- Sorry for the wind and screaming/hair in background. Next time I will have windows up and quiet passengers and hopefully a less crowded track. Around 6min 30sec a Mclaren passes me and around 10min someone almost hits me and crashes but regains control

Took some video but it was shaky so hopefully when I upload it to youtube it may fix it. If not will have to go again I got some pics and will post but it was fun. First time on a non drag track for me so was scary especially with a $265k McLaren MP4 behind me. I just cruised it mainly to check the track out. I don't know my Evo's limits yet so figured its best not to test it there

 

I was just over last month and was able to get 8 laps in during the allotted 2 hours. I was in a rental Audi a6 tho ;( Once in a lifetime experience for sure.

 

Nice I wish I got more time but the track kept closing.

I can only experience that in Gran Turismo! I am so jealous! my cousin actually was there a few months ago. He rented an m3 for his track experience

I was so slow! Never played Forza or GT to get some track. Watched some videos but still it doesn't prepare you. I think I would have been a little more calm if it wasn't for so many cars on the track at one time. I will be putting up some photo's in the next few days.

 

Man I love that track in Gran Turismo, lots of turns! So how long did it take you to run a full lap? 15 minutes?

Yea but we have Rednecks here in the US that like to do 1/4 race. Wow!!! Why can't we have something cool like that here in the States?

 

I envy you! I run that track on gran turismo religiously and know every inch. One of my life goals is to get over there and tear it up.
