i lift up that latch and turn it left but it wont open! its either way too tight or there is another method.... I feel as if I turn it any harder and it would break... that wouldnt be great... I was thinking about unscrewing those bolts but it seems like it has some type of silicone to keep the meth from coming out?

Pry method? See if you can use a screw driver through the center of the thing that lifts up, and pry on the screw head? Twist that way?

I don't think a screw driver would build enough force to twist that cap.. And that method sounds devastating! I lift the latch and even pulled it up and twist it and even pushed it down and twist it just incase it had a child safety lock but no avail!

it rusted out, and its stuck?
as it goes thru the meth, does it create a vacuum seal? if empty, open it at the fitting and release the pressure

maybe you have to lift the latch turn it clockwise then pill up on it while pushing it down with the other hand.
