Evo wont start?

I have an evo 3 that was recently just completed. The timing belt had popped and bent valves and also the oil pump sprocket was hard to turn and turn out that the balance shaft bearings were bad. Car was running for a bout 30 seconds and just shut off completely. Took the oil pan off and found No metal shavings at all. Deleted the balance shafts and replaced the valves and put the car back together. Went to start the car, it rolls but very very slow. What cud be the problem? Common areas to check? My mechanic who put the car together (owns a 700 hp talon) said that he thinks my motor doesn't have compression and either i ****ed up a rod or main bearing?I am looking for nay help guys as i have spent over 100 bucks and the car still isnt running. Thanks. also car had an afc in it but i unplugged it, can this be a problem too?

Have you run a compression test or leak down test? Test it for a problem, I wouldn't just throw money at it and hope it works.

Did you address the head issues?

I would think that if it had no or bad compression it would crank over quickly. Have you taken the oil pan off and inspected rod and main bearings or the rods themselves? Checked clearances?

Also, put a battery charger on the battery and crank it to see if that changes anything.
