Going e85 probably next month

Researched it and im doing, i have the supporting mods 1000cc pte injectors and 255 walbro. Not a whole lot of tuning information just people bragging about making power

My only questions are
Do i aim for the same afr during boost?
Do i change idle timing due to start up issues?
Do I just fill her up with e85 on an empty tank and tune from with the injectors or what is the procedure.

I can figure everything else out from here ill have to tune on a dyno due to e85 being knock resistant

I'm not sure about the tuning procedure but if your trying to make big numbers on e85 you will prolly need a double pumper and bigger injectors.

my 255 walbro was maxed out at 440 hp. Went walbro 400 to have some breathing room on a very very conservative tune since I'm high mileage...117k and counting.

AFR will be different. Stoichiometry for pump gas is 14.7:1 while e85 is 9.8:1

I would suggest you run the tank as low as possible, then fill up with a half tank of e85 and put a base tune on there with low to no boost. Burn through that tank and then fill her up and go from there. Try to minimize the mixing of gasoline and e85.

You will have to play with the fuel at startup. Sometimes it can be a bit rough, especially if you are in colder climates.

Are you asking these questions and (assuming you find your answers) attempting to tune the car yourself?

You should probably do a lot more research before making the switch, as the questions you are asking are really the basics.

AFR: 12.5-12.8 on spool, taper to 12.1-11.5

Idle timing: You do not need to change your idle timing as you will be cranking during start up, not idling. For start up you need to adjust Injector Cranking Enrichment (IPW) Adder and Injector Cranking Primer Enrichment. There are known hot start issues that you will need to adjust the ISCV tables and Idle Stepper Table. Search through the E85 section, there are many resources available to you there.

Fill up: Run your tank to the gas light +30 miles (depending on usual mileage), fill up with E85, flash your ECU with E85 injector scaling and begin dialing in.

Which tuner advised you that a single Walbro 255 would be enough for 500hp on E85 w/ 1000cc PTE injectors ?

this question pops up alot here in new threads. hell even i made one.

now from the searching that i have done. using GAS AFR's i will be aiming for:
Idle to = 14.7-15.2
Cruise to = 15.5-16.5
WOT Spool up to full boost to = 11.5-12.0

you should check out the thread listed below. it has very good information.
