So I am about ready to take out my stock oil cooler and put in the STM Oil Cooler Kit.

Just wondering if I have to do anything special on the initial start, do I simply top off the oil, start the car, let it run for a few minutes and then check it after its worked its way through the cooler? Or should I try to prime the cooler somehow?

I just want to make sure that the engine isn't deprived of oil on the first start!

 

I would prime the car before starting it, check the oil level and fill as needed. There are several different ways of doing so; remove the fuel pump fuse.
