P.S. Have you seen the video yet yourself? If so, what's on it?
Couple things, first does it kind of look like the bottom of the intercooler is sticking out from under the bottom of the bumper?
Second...if you look closely at this same picture it looks like above the passengers shoulder is a hole in the seat...I have it pointed out here (you have to look real closely):
Anyone think that hole (if thats what it is) could be the same hole as in the Recaro seats like this?:
Thoughts?

Could be a slightly raised headrest also
Also, I don't think that is the intercooler sticking out the bottom...the lines don't line up right.
And remember, just because a test car may or may not have certain features/options that are found on the Evo VII DOES NOT mean we will get it....it is afterall test shots. I do think it is good that all the photos we've seen have a fmic though...that shows that it is probably made it past crash tests and is "a go" if it survives the hot weather testing...which I'm sure it would. Things like seats can be changed at the last minute. Take a look at the GTA Recaros....not the buckets shown above...the actual GTA Reacros are nice and would be a seat you'd more than likely see. How often do you see a car sold in the US with seats for harnesses (yes there are a few, like the Cobra R...but most a factory race cars only)

A couple things I noticed after looking at the Autoweek mag I received today, with a bigger picture:
- The car has the "blistered fenders" that were exclusive to the Evo VII, i.e. NOT on the Lancer Cedia
- The rear end has some definite contours to it. Take a look at the picture below where I tried to highlight it.

What 's the big deal? It's obvious that it's an Evo Vll with a different hood and bumper.
Didn't Mitsu say that the only problem with bringing the Vll to the US. was getting the front bumper to meet the standard 5 mph crash stnd.
If you read into that maybe it say's it all,......or maybe it says absolutely nothing.

i like it!!!! The look of the test car is growing on me...at first it didn't do much for me but its not that bad. Even without the wing its stance looks agressive and the lines are pretty clean. Now is the color of the test car thunder grey or black?? Can't tell.
The VIII will look just like the VII. That is not the front clip for that car. It is the same intercooler on both the 7 and the 8. You don't put a huge intercooler on the front of a car and then cover it up. Also the fact that it hangs out bellow the bumper is further proof as that would be a maintainance nightmare (rocks, curbs, etc) Just a Lancer clip on the front For whatever reason Probably just so they can drive around and not get there pic taken.
