Yep. I can't tell who gave me the info, BUT, it is someone that knows everything about the Evo (inside Mitsubishi). Here is a basic quote reference that:

i was told by a guy i have on the inside that i have at the dealership "our owner went to las vagas to test drive the new american evo and he called earlier and said he is doin everything to get ahold of at least 10" then the guy showed me some pics off a fax and they look just like the yellow car in the pics on this thread

. Correct me if im wrong but up until now the evo (5,6,7) have always had 17psi of boost and made 276HP(everyone says its actually closer to 300 HP but the law keeps it at this.) So how much of this approx 50 HP loss is from exhaust? and how much is boost lowering?

When the Evo 8 comes states side this Jan or Feb its gonna be a wild beast with no cars able to tame it. I'm having one held for me i asked for it in Black since Ever Since Legend of Speed Seeing that guy Sky driving his black Evo. But I can't wait to play with that 6 speed gear box and open that throttle all up and down the highways in NJ. And when a little audi, is300, or 3series pull up next to me i just can't wait to unleash the full potential of the car and show them the true beast the Evolution truly is its Time people respect mitsubishi and with the release of the evo i think they are gonna respect it and look at Mitsu in a whole different perspective.

No idea what psi that was at, but if it is anything like a DSM, BPU should cut a full 1 second of the 1/4 time!
Also, the mag talked about the WRX STi... that came with 320 bhp, 6sp, but no word on exactly when it will hit the US... possibly sometime after the EVO.
Subaru is probably going to play the "one-up-manship" game with Mitsu???
