Confirm some rumors and that might guarantee at least 100,000

Exclamation Correction

Okay, I just finished reading all 20 pages. on 18 i recalled someone said the Evo 5, 6, 7 all had 276hp. Actually the Evo 4 (IV) was the first Evo with the 4G63 turbo having 276hp (or 280ps in Japan) The Evo IV 's torque was 35 kg-m and as i recalled the V, VI, VII had the better torque like 36, 37kg*m at 3000 rpm or around 3500 rpm. Then the Evo VII GT-A (which A means the Automatic) has 270ps (that is back to the Evo III) and 35kg*m range (in Evo IV). Btw, As to answer a few member's posts, the GT-A version is targetted to the motorists who looks for the Grand Touring pleasure of drivers.. those who (in Japan) are in Executive level, desire a car that can go fast while not sacrificing the comfort on road and the convenience of city driving with severe traffic jam problem. You probably don't know how bad the city traffic in Tokyo. Anyway... the GT-A was targetted to drivers who are completed in another planet than most of us.

oh by the way... the large picture that was shown earlier... that
silver color car (front) view next to the Evolution is NOT a outlander. It looks similar but it is NOT (please check out
http://www.mitsubishicars.com/MMSA/j.../testdrive.jsp
and you will know why... So looks like that is a GALANT! ...it looks
pretty nice.... at least better than the current model with that front ugly bumper face lift.

Hey man thanks for shown' me the pics! I think the car looks like crap! If they don't start making the Lancer look like the 5, 6, or 7, then the designer needs to die!!! Boycott!

Well I personally think the new lancers ( I prefer to call them concepts of the new lancer ) look awesome. And I know some of you will come around and love it.

and just incase you missed the other ones: http://www.lancerevolutions.com/gallery/cat.asp?iCat=44
Man, this car is awesome.

BTW, gj Boosted!

Lightbulb

Under http://www.lancerevolutions.com/gallery/cat.asp?iCat=44 the EVO8_2 jpg mentions sneak info on the transmission as 6 speed manual will be used. Actually this version of facelift (the black) looks more violent than te gold yellow's. The yellow's is like the current
galant/diamante 's. hopefully that is not a difference between what Japan and US are getting (in term of the exterior) Seems to me that
the black prototype's facelift is sharper and smaller which stands out alot better. The yellow's facelift makes the front look fat.
Anyway the new look is mean.

I totally agree with you awdrift. The new front(white nuremburg pics) looks way too round ,almost like a caddillac or something. I would much rather have the solid edges and lines that all the past evo's had, like the ones on the black and gold concept car pics. These lines help flow the rest of the lines through the hood and give the car the aggressive look it needs.

I guess we'll just have to wait for the final pictures to be released.

Man i cant wait for evo to arrive, i wonder i i should trade in my 85 Iroc or sell it for to help pay for evo. if i dont sell it, evo might take a bit more time for me to obtain. what do you think i should do guys? sell the camaro?and buy the evo, or wait longer to buy the evo. i think imight go with my second option, seeing as camaro is no longer in existence, might as well keep it for collectors item

If you are happy with your camaro then why sell it. The Evo will no doubt be fun but whether or not it is as much fun as you have with your camaro is your call. The 2 cars are very different and saying that you will like the Evo the same as you camaro is impossible because you wont. They will handle and drive completely different. For example I love my maxima. power is strong and linear from 1000rpm. However I want a car that doesn't lose traction and understeer as much. plus I've never had a car with a turbo and am looking foward to all the new things I can do with it. Remember it is only a car.

my 2 cents
