lack of power and backfire

Hey all, I recently installed a new intake (used to have his one) and a 3" front pipe and resonated decat, after doing this I noticed the boost has increased a few psi and also at WOT at about 4.5k rpm the car starts backfiring , loses power/seems hesitant, after that it goes back to pulling hard till redline any ideas what could be causing this? I'm getting it retuned soon just waiting to buy a new turbo and injectors

How much boost are you hitting? What octane fuel are you using?

I'm thinking of two possibilities.

1. Too much boost and you're hitting boost cut.
2. You are running lean, knocking and pulling timing.

Either way you are in need of a tune, I'd avoid WOT until you are tuned.

check for boostleaks then check your sparkplug gap. If your car is rich when you mash it like 10.0 when you hit boost and you feel looks you hit a wall of some sort sir you have a boostleak and the computer is trying to safeguard your motor.

I think it's tuned for 21psi but I think I'm hitting slightly more, I use bp 98

Fuel is ok. If you we're already hitting 21 psi before you are probably exceeding your boost limit. My IX cuts at 23.

What are your plugs gapped at? You probably just need to re gap them.
