Conventional oil in Evo 8 ?

123k on the clock and have always run m1 synthetic ep 10/30. stock with a couple bolt ons. engine runs like when I bought it at 8k.

Im using Mobil One with Oem Filter..you can never go wrong with oem fluids...

I have always ran mobil 1 up until this last oil change running mobil 1 high mileage, since I now have 178985 on the odometer..

see... im bout to get an fp turbo... i dont want it to mess up and they blame the oil that im using... i find it pretty lame. i believe theres more to oil than just zinc and phos

someone sway me from going vr1. as im currently using full synthetic.

VR1 Conventional is highly recommended by Engine builders due to the high Zinc content. I just changed to it coming from M1, I have the Tomei M7960 turbo and until now it's fine. AWD Motorsports recommends the VR1, Bushur racing recommends Braddpen oil or VR1. They are both high in the Zinc content. I was skeptical at first but after a couple of my high HP friends have been running them for years I made the switch.

That oil link only applied to their jb turbos, which they don't make anymore. The bb turbos can use whatever oil you want really, you just have to use the proper reducer inline filter.
