Conventional oil in Evo 8 ?

So I noticed a lot of people using the Valvoline VR1 Racing oil VV211 and I was doing further reading on the website and noticed its Conventional and not Synthetic. I thought we were to use only fully synthetic oils? The only one that is synthetic and $12 a bottle is the VV851.

I think the stock motor is built tight and gets gets good benefits from synthetic. If the motor is built I recommend going with whatever your builder suggests.

I run a partial synthetic oil from brad penn that works great. Made for cars with flat or roller cams and high performance engines. So not a full synthetic but its what was ran from the engine builder so i stuck with it. i think its like 7 bucks a quart? or around there.

I've used Mobil one for the last 103k on my engine. I ran a compression test and got very very very nice numbers very even all across. I guess I'll stick to Synthetic

I have used conventional valvoline racing oil vv850 for the last 15,000 miles. That's what my engine builder recommended and I have no issues at all changing it at 2,500 miles. Oil is always pretty clean looking when I change it.

I just changed to Valvoline Vr1 conventional. That's what AWD Motorsports and Buschur racing recommends for Stock to over 1,000 HP Built Evo. Hard to Believe huh

Run it for 3 months and then send a test out to be analyzed. Then you'll know how long you can go. Putting it in once isn't going to hurt it.
