Are you sure you boiled the fluid or is it possible you burst a line?

Fluid level was the same, nobody who looked at the car after the fact commented to any brake fluid puddles underneath. I had some pressure back at the bottom of the pedal when pumping after I hit the wall.

Glad to hear you are OK....the most important aspect.

I would recommend scratching off the number "55" on the rear window(s) for insurance purposes.....

Wow sad sight dude, good to hear you're alright though. Insurance should take care of you, depending on who you're with. Let us know what happens.

Thanks! Insurance knows it was an HPDE, and they're actually looking at it in the garage at the track. They basically have to run it past their legal counsel as far as wording is concerned but it doesn't sound like they have reason to deny the claim outside of that based on what the claims supervisor has told me. Really seems to just come to to their interpreted definition of "speed demonstration" from what he told me.

Thank you. I'm with Farmers, and I've never really heard one way or the other on them. We'll see.

Nah, I'm pretty sure it's toast. It'll need a front subframe to replace all the lower suspension mounts, and everything else will need straightening. I'd put minimum as much into the chassis as I could on a roller.

I'm not posting the picture directly in case people don't want to see, but this is what at 80mph sideways impact does to you in the car: http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...ps784b4efe.png
