help buying an evo IX

new to this forum and im looking for an evo to buy but I cant figure out how much to pay, for instance im looking at one in my area for sale, there asking 22,000 with 91*** miles and some mods and in good shape, the mods are greddy hard piping, and intercooler, aem intake, turbo timer, 2.5 TBE, sway bar, and torque damper. i honestly feel they are way over pricing the car. i blue booked it and it came out to be valued 13,000-18,000. i thought adding aftermarket parts on a car does not add any value to the car? so i guess what im asking right now is how much should i pay for the car i just explained?

Ive heard aftermarket parts lose ~70% of their value when it comes time to sell the car. Obviously that doesnt work for ever situation but probably most.

But Evos have never followed KBB/Edmunds/etc values, their real market value has always been higher.

i feel like they never follow kbb, edmunds, values because people have added aftermarket parts and they just want to get money back from those parts?

yea but your car had really low miles, that seems reasonable. this car has almost double that amount of miles.

Not yet. I wanted to see if that was a good or bad price for an evo and what I should pay.

I paid 13k for my evo 9 se with 60k miles on it and a few mods. You just gotta look around till you find a good deal. I would highly recommend making sure you go down the list on one of these cars before you buy it and make sure nothing major is wrong with it. Spend the extra money to have it inspected

Yeah the IXs hold there value. And 22k is to high for a 91k mile IX. And I think parts add a little value to the price but youll never get your money back on that. I mean I have over 50k into mine and wont see close to that if I sell. I would look around more I have seen a bunch of IXs around 50k miles for 14-20k. Dont rush it. whats are your plans with it

Yeah I would have to agree on the not rushing it part. There are plenty of great deals out there. But for reference, I got my IX MR with 92k miles for 18k with a handful of bolt ons. I would say it should have been valued lower honestly... So the price of the one mentioned in your original post is definitely quite high.
