03 evo 8 exhaust leak?

Ok so I recently installed exhaust on my car and I'm pretty sure I have a leak (pre turbo) but I can't tell if it is the problem or not, I am spoiling to about 15psi and then my car kind of cuts power and starts popping like it's missing or backfiring hard, no check engine light at all, it still spooks after that up to 24 psi I believe was what I've seen it get up to, but idling and just normal driving it's fine, it only does this when I floor it.
Any help or ideas would be great!

Yup, sounds like you might have a boost leak. Start by checking all the intercooler pipes, hoses, clamps, etc.

If I have a pre turbo leak in my exhaust would that cause a turbo leak?

If you had an exhaust leak pre-turbo it would affect how much boost you see but not how you run. The MAF is still counting how much air you're actually putting into the engine so you would be fine. Did you change anything else when you added the exhaust? How are your plugs?

I'll check the plugs and get back but all I did was a full exhaust, and found a leak on the stock bcs so I put my electronic grimspeed one I ordered on and fixed that but it's still doing the popping at around 16+ psi and kinda lags usually happens at around 4-5 grand rpms

Datalog and see if you can find it. The exhaust should move you further out in load so perhaps you're rich as hell or knocking.

The exhaust is AFTER the turbo, so a leak in your exhaust will not affect the turbo in that way, or give you the problem that you're experiencing.

How are your plugs? Have you checked all intercooler pipes for a boost leak? Understand that they're under a lot of pressure under boost, so it is possible that a leak can cause the spuddering that you're describing. These can be sneaky so make sure you take your time looking for them.

On a side note, you haven't touched the actual sensor inside of your MAF, have you?

You can never overestimate a problem in a turbo car. Glad the plugs fixed it and happy boosting!
