I believe they are used with the 2.4l block. What displacement engine do you have?

I believe that mt057 is correct. The 2.4 blocks don't use an evo pump. I think the block is actually like a 4g64 or whatever.

Get OEM.

OR

Either you dont have an evo block, or you have the wrong water pumps

Autozone/napa have eclipse/lancer parts listed for the evo.

Maybe its a old for say dsm 4g63... lol

Ethir there pump design is wrong. Or you do not have an evo 4g63. The 4g64s have the same problem. If you wanna use a 8 pump on THAT block. Buy the adapter plate the 4g64 guys use

Youre positive the engine code is 4g63? Look at the spot kind of behind the power steering pump on the block. Wipe it off, its just below the freeze plug on far left side. Take a picture of the engine code so we can make sure it is a 4g63. Need to start there before people can start identifying issues and help.

Once that is done we can start looking at the parts these auto parts stores are giving customers and make sure we get the right part numbers. Only reason I say all this is due to the fact I am building a 2.1 destroker and I am going to use an outlander pump on my 4g64 because thata what works without having to use the spacers.

That number is 4g63tj1652. It Is a built 2.0 block. Its not 2.4 or 2.3 the evo pumps do not fit they are too short theydo not cover up everything..

like i said, take the code to a dealership off your engine and see, you could have an evo 4-7 motor or something of that sort.

more than just an evo 8 or 9 that had a good ol 4g63, hell they could of even screwed ya and sent you a DSM block, who knows.
we need to find out whether you truly have a evo 8 4g63, or the parts being produced by that company are wrong.

That is a evo 8 block.. its the engine code that saids evo 8 block at the dealer. How come at the dealership they have 2 different types of water pumps one ending in 65 nd other in 67.. they are 250 bucks. I know this is s evo 8 block it might be a 2.4 L because it has Je pistons eagle rods eagle crankshaft. Maybe the previous owner didnt know what he was talking about since he told me he only knows it has je pistons. I know 100% its evo 8.
