why do you want to put a heat shield on your intake.... the air is gonna get heated up as soon as it hits the turbo... so it's pointless IMO

I think it's worth it G-rod because the fan mounted in front of the intake tube shoots a lot of hot air from the engine over the intake. Hot air is not as dense as the colder one so you're getting less air to start with.
I will probably do my own heat shield tho.

cold air can hold more oxygen, it means better combustion... Grod, it has nothing to do with the turbos

I actually know someone who is working on a heat shield for use with RMR/Buschur intakes, similar to the HKS one but more effectively designed. They have a second revision prototype being made now but weren't sure how much interest there would be in this product.

I'll keep you up to date .

Where will that heat shield mount? I have a Power Enterprise intake which is a bit different than Buschur/RMR but if it's just before or after MAF I'd be able to use it (and save myself some time making one myself).

I believe it covers the majority of the intake area, and extends back to just cover the MAF (to protect open element filters from water/snow from hood vent, etc). But don't quote me, I haven't seen the final plans.

As soon as I get some solid info I'll post up to see who's interested. If you want me to keep you on a direct inform list just let me know here or by PM. Thanks

Again I'm not positive on the final design so I'll post with details when I get them. I believe it was originally designed for the RMR/Buschur filter only, not with the MAS pipe, but it may be adaptable (don't quote me though)
