It took me roughly 6 months of looking. Definitly look country wide because if you find the one you have to have you will travel to get it.
Forgot to mention i drove 8 hours round trip. 4 there and 4 back. I"m loving every moment of this car after 2 years of ownership.

Whats even scarier is a frt diff thats whining, or replacing synchros in the trans because the car wont shift at high RPM, or a trans leak, or a rear diff or center diff with broken spider gears--- or the bill that accompanies replacing any of these parts.
Take your time and look. As someone once said, You can pay me know, or pay me later..same goes for a POS car cause you got in a rush. Good Luck

Guy who bought my Evo 8 flew in from Texas.

As I'm looking for my next car, I'm also doing the same and looking across the country.

One night, wasn't planning on getting a evo, but couldn't pass up the deal. Was searching for another FD and couldn't find anything good relatively close. Hopped on Craigslist, saw it, went and looked at it that night and made him a offer. Now here I am a Evo owner!

2 hours using Cars.com I had to drive 12 hours round trip to get it, but I got exactly what I wanted.

Edit- Nevermind, I thought I was on the EVO X section.. LOL

A few months. A had one before my current one and the previous owner raped it so I sold it and got my current one which is actually for sale right now if you're interested. I fully built it and am bringing it back to stock and putting in a brand new oem motor. It's an 06 Evo 9 mr with 70k on the body and 0 miles on the motor. I'm looking to get $22k

You should put a few thousand miles on it before trying to sell it. Having sold cars with rebuilt motors, I can tell you buyers are always skeptical. I fully tested mine and put about 4k miles one it prior to posted it for sale. I did 4 track days on it, and knew it was good to go. Buyer drove 2000 mils home to Texas with no problems.

Sorry OP, for going off topic.

I searched for a few months for both of my evos. The first one I found locally and the other I drove 22 hours round trip to pick her up.
