Exclamation Difference in performance

Hi everyone .. I have recently installed new 8.5 compression pistons, con rods, bearings, balance shaft delete kit [Stub shaft] fluidamper, stock turbo. Running in is almost complete.

Every time i start the car after 24 hours, 2days , 5 days or 10 days the evo behaves differently. Some times the engine feels very smooth, some times it feels like the engine is taking in more air and is getting restricted.

Before the rebuild i had to press the throttle half way to get to the launch limiter 5500k now i only have to press the throttle 35% . Am i missing some thing here ?

Did you take apart the throttle body at all? You know, to replace the seals or something like that. What I'm getting at here is, if you did and happened to remove the TPS, then when you put it back on you may not have calibrated it properly. Just a possibility, but the only one I can think of at the moment.

Well i didnt fiddle with the tps, i did clean the throttle body but that was a few months back.

What i feel is that the engine requires a re tune as the changes in VE have occured after the rebuild. I will do some logging and see if i can dig up something unfamiliar.

Oh ok! Yeah, I would probably rule out the TPS then. Good luck.

Uh Ya I'd say engine internal changes requires a retune. Probably asap.

Found the culprit. Spark plugs ! after 600kms they faulted. Nothing odd in them but simply they wernt performing but still the retune thing is on the cards.

retune should be done before the car is driven at all. that's a huge change you did there

there's probably a connection between no tune and the spark plugs fouling
