Idle problem

Hi,

I have a '04 EDM Evo VIII with about 65k miles (100k km) on it.

And I have a strange problem with idle in certain circumstances. Idle is generally ok and about 850 rpm. Also, It's usually fine when driving around. But sometimes, esp. in traffic jams, the following happens:

- I put in the first gear and press the gas pedal to slowly start from arounf 1.5-1.7k rpm (you don't want go faster in a traffic jam)
- The car I'm following stops, so I press the clutch, put off the gear, release the clutch and press the brake pedal
- RPM goes down to 450-500, but then recovers

For some reason, most frequently this happens when going uphill.

Recently I had a throttle rebuild: installed the Works shaft seal kit and fixed leaks in the throttle body itself. It changed _nothing_ (I had this problem before rebuild as well).

I'm wondering what's the reason? I assume it could be an idle serve thing in a throttle body that needs to be replaced but I'm not sure if there's a way to make sure it's the reason (not many evos in my area to swap it around and test).

today p0505 popped up... so I guess it'd make sense to try to replace the idle speed control thingie.
