When I'm shifting from second gear to third gear the car accelerates then stops as if I'm not pressing the accelerator pedal for 3 seconds then accelerates again even tho my foot is to the floor. I own a 2006 Evo 9 MR. I hope someone can explain this. Thank you alot


So I actually had the tephramod NLTS (no lift to shift) I tried it out by getting the engine to 3k rpm at 3rd gear and then going full throttle and pressing the clutch all the way while still holding the throttle wide open the rpm dripped by 500 and kept bouncing while I can easily shift gears

 

When this occurs (no acceleration) does the tach show an increase in rpm?

 

No, it doesn't Rev up it either stays or drops slowly but then it gets on accelerating again

 

Has the car been tuned using tephramod and has no lift to shift activated?

 

i just bought the car three days ago, how can i find out if it has it?
