If you aren't planning on going any higher than 400whp then an Exedy Stage 1HD is a good choice. That's what I switched to and after a few days getting used to it if feels just like the stock clutch did. Very easy to engage smoothly.

I have the competition stage 2 and absolutely love it! Im running it with the stock resurfaced flywheel, and got a great deal from vr-speed factory.

I am really digging the stage 3.5 clutchmasters so far. My builder is finishing up on the final touches of my 2.3l FP Green e85 project this weekend and should putting down about 500. Prior to that I had the stage 2 when engine was completely stock and love that one as well.

I have a Comp Stage 3.5 Street/Strip. Solid for daily driving and grabs super hard. Clutch pedal feel almost stock, and the chatter isn't TOO bad. It does make some noises (you can here the disc brushing the flywheel when you're slowly engaging). Only advice is don't use the Competition pressure plate clip. It popped off.

I've run the comp stage 2 for a year and it drives well and can hold more power then the exedy stage 1.
If you have your trans out, I would think hard about going with the evo 8 3rd and 4th gear or 4.11FD. It will make everything better.

Can't go wrong with competition they say. I don't mind my stage 3, it definitely took some getting used to.

Competition Clutch Stage 4 Six Puck. I thought it was too much clutch when I first got it, but don't do much city driving. I've grown to love it, although I'm worried with how much life it has left due to it being puck

I have the same clutch with the act streetlite flywheel and made 456/407 mustang dyno and it held tons of launches at the track. Feels great daily driving too. But as I said in another one of your threads, clutches arent rated from whp....TQ

I ran a comp stg 2 clutch with 505awhp and 404tq for over 20k miles with around 15-20 launches and 11 of those at the track. Not to mention it is a true daily driver. I never had any issues with it what so ever. I highly recommend going with it for your power levels and goals. Lucas from English racing says the comp stg2 unsprung is one of his favorites as well so that's gotta mean something right and I know he's on a 2.4lr fp green combo so if it hold to his tq monster should be perfect with your car

Wow a clutch thread where no one has mentioned a twin disc, THANK GOD! I have a comp stage 2 (sprung disc) on my 2.3 fp 71hta..holds just fine. Making over 450wtq which is what it's rated at, and no issues so far. Great for daily driving--I'm a big fan. It's also very inexpensive, just be sure to use an OEM TOB with whatever clutch you decide to go with.
