wow, i didnt realize that driving 80 mph was just as dangerous as driving 160 mph. hell, why dont we just all drive 400 mph... why even have speed limits? good point you got there.

80 is dangerous 140 is dangerous too if not more........Is that why Germany has no speed limits??? You risk your life and others just by driving period......It just how much more you should be asking...........

exactly the point ive been trying to make the whole time. of course 140 mph is more dangerous then 80. legality has nothing to do with how safe it is, as far as death/injury goes. but it does have something to do with additional consequences of going that speed.

Germany has plenty of speed limits, what makes you think there are no speed limits in Germany?

Man... that's pretty scary. If I had the EVO I would be tempted to go 165mph

Me? No, I'm not wrong, I'm spot on. Do you honestly believe there are no speed limits in Germany? So, you can fly past a school at 160 without fear of prosecution then? Please.

There are only certain parts of Germany on the Audobahn that have no speed limits- not all of Germany.

so what you are saying that the EVO is faster because it doesn't have and speed limiter?? in that case it is also faster than an M5 regardless of the fact that we both know that it is not true. if you are buying a car because of a speed limiter than good luck to you. i hope you do know that the limiter is very easy to take off and CD will actually have more impact on the car speed....

also before i forget, if you think that driving 80mph is the same as driving 160mph than may god help us all. at 160mph not only your reaction is slower but the car limits are right there. the stopping distance as well as safety manouvers are all reduced at that speed and stuff you could have easily avoided while doing 80-100mph WILL kill you at 160mph.

I never said I bought the EVO because it has no limiter..........Its not really how fast your car can go, its how fast you can get up to that speed that counts.........

And for your other post, I never said going 80 is same as 160.......I said both are dangerous and 160 is more dangerous....Learn to read and not assume........

And for the last part, I can drive however fast I want..........Not you or anyone can tell me what to do......If its dangerous what I am doing, so be it.....Don't tell me I danger other peoples lives, because if they think so too, then don't drive.....

And Yes there are NO speed limits at certain parts of Germany........I never said local streets......and I never said the whole Germany........

This whole post was suppose to let you guys know that the STi is governed and the EVO is not.........Has nothing to do with how fast I go or he goes or she goes.......So talk all you guys want, I am still going as fast as I can........

And to add to that, what about WRC? Is that not dangerous? So they are professionals is ok? I've seen plenty of times where the cars are flying by and hits the spectators.......Tell them to stop the race why don't you?

that is where you are wrong bro, it is NOT just as unsafe...

and as for telling you what to do, i wouldn't do that since that is why you have parents. all i am saying is that if you think that you are only risking yourself than there is something wrong with you. i have had 2 friends that dies because they shared your beliefs and that is fine. However, when some one else dies because you think that you are superman than that is what i have a problem with. just because a car can drive that fast does not mean that YOU need to go that fast. would you feel good driving 100+mph in a school zone?? why not, the car can go that fast...

as for this pearls of wisdom, all i can say is that you are lying to yourself. a WRC car is prepped to the most severe standars. does your car have 20+ points roll cage? does your car have an acid dipped reinforced chassie?. also, a WRC even is held at a controlled places and not on the street for a reason. these people are professional so they know what the risk is and why they should do it off road.

another minor difference is the fact that a person going to see a WRC event knows what is going to see and what risks are involved. when you drive 160mph on the highway and you lose control than you might kill someone who just wanted to go see a movie...
