EVO VS STI Something I found out....
God forbid anyone mentions testing the upper limits of their car. Prepare for the flames. Of course, no one wants to see anyone maimed or killed , but seriously, why get an Evo if not for the occasional spirited run? Stick with the Ford Contour.

Obviously since he has said that he has never been in a crash. He doesnt' have knowledge of the effects it can have on a person or others. Perhaps during one of the these sprints. A young driver will pull out going around 40. As he comes lashing down. No doubt the evo has power to stop, but the velocity of this car. I guess when he pictures someone losing his life. Like someones son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father. A simple wimper of "It just must of been there time to go."

Id love to see your list of tuner Evo's that have topped 200 mph. I really mean it, show proof. Honestly the car would be so darty and unstable at that speed no one in their right mind would drive it.

but I'm sure it wasn't done on public roadways
Im just wondering what the hell are you trying to justify saying 160mph is safe? Believe me i have had my car to 150ish once... thats all i need and yes it was on public roads. But what could you possibly be thinking doing this often. I mean lets say your rollin at 160 and a realitively new driver pulls out on the highway and cant judge your speed in their mirrors. If they were to get over thats it the end. You have just killed them and you and probally 5 other people on the highway around you. You say that we claim to be innocent i dont even claim that but there is a time and a place for everything and you trying to justify this is simpily stupid! Its pretty sad a 19 year old can see this and a self claimed mature 27 year old cant. imagine it being your wife or your kid in the car that gets smashed into at 160. How would you feel? You got alot of growin to do man i just hope you can manage that before you end up dead.....

Although 160 is tempting but only as a one time thing
Hello all, I just bought an Evo on 2/28/04, and am very happy with the car thus far. I dunno how anyone bought an Evo for $24K out the door, cause around Southern California they are very expensive. Personally I paid $26.9K for my car, then after sales, tax, and licensing I paid $29K. I am paying $430 a month, so I know this car is expensive. I'm just hoping that it is cheaper to insure then my former 2000 Z28. I did see a Evo 8 that was selling for $19K, but I think it was salvaged.
