Mitsu Homelink Sunvisor content--any models interchangeable?

I tried a search, but didn't see if any particular other mitsu models will work on our cars.

Anybody do this yet?

I had the Homelink/auto dim/compass Subie mirror I put in my FR-S & am spoiled by it--but I don't believe it'll work in the Evo... lol

TIA

One of two things I honestly miss from my 2011 WRX, HL and blue tooth. Since installed an aftermarket BT, works great, surprisingly.

Now to find the HomeLink/Auto Dimming mirror, there are aftermarket ones but I'd like to stick to OEM. And until the wingless CF trunk goes on, the stock spoiler does an excellent job of blocking all rear headlights.

I'd be interested to see if you find anything, I gave up.

So honest question here not trying to be a dick, but why wouldn't it fit? Is it the oddball "camlock" mounting system, because if it's a wedge should fit and then its just a matter of wiring it in. I just did a quick look on ebay because this kinda interests me and there are a ton of oem homelink autodim rearviews on there and a few have a pigtail on them so it would be a matter of finding a wiring schematic. or were you looking for something that is just a five minute plug and play deal?

So now you have me very interested in this, I'm trying to pick up a mirror from an rx-8 and I have the wiring instructions and programming for it. If I get my hands on the mirror I will let you know and possibly even do a how to.

I'm asking abt sun visor interchangeability, so I can @ least have Homelink.

I've seen the mirrors w/ all the bells/whistles--but they're approaching $400 (!), and I can live w/o auto-dimming.

I'm also in the process of doing a double din, so I can use the Kenwood unit I have w/ Nav, BT, etc.

If you get an oem used one its a lot cheaper and just as easy to install. The one I'm looking at is only $40 I just need to hear back on the amount of shipping since I'm up here in Alaska. But its still only 4 wires and will have homelink, auto-dim, and compass, not that I need the last feature. But yeah that's a hell of a lot better than the $400 of a brand new one.

For what model, though? They never had them as an option in a Lancer.

That's a GREAT price!

Most the other models, I didn't mean oem for the lancer haha sorry for the confusion. I meant oem in general, the one I have is from a mazda rx-8. Ended up being 49.99 shipped with mirror and pigtail. Like I said once I get it I'll figure out how to install and do a how to for anybody else that wants to install one. It's just like the cop kits using other vehicles parts on our car for an upgrade haha

Haha as long as it has a wedge base, the metal tombstone looking little deal should work. With this mounting is gonna be the easiest part, it's the wiring and programming that may be a little more complicated, but it looks easy enough. Should just be 4 wires, constant power for home link to work even when car is off, ground, switched power for the autodim and an optional reverse wire to cancel the autodim when backing up but I probably won't use that one.

Silly question--but a simple way to pull off the base cover? The Subie unit looks like it *may* work--but I could be very wrong...

I'm not sure without a pic of it, they use a million and one ways to keep the base attached to the tombstone. But if your lucky some of them will pop the ball on the base out of the arm on the mirror itself, but that's mostly cheap mirror replacements. post a pic and me or someone else may be able to help.
