Bc magnesium is pretty brittle...All it takes is fore the bolts to be overtorqued and boom itll crack.

Yeah they are very brittle, you can even strip out the threads just over tightening the spark plug cover. Brand new they're pretty spendy, I'd personally look for a good used one. And fyi VIII and IX's are different so purchase accordingly.

Sorry to hear that it crack. I'm getting to get mine Powder Coated. I make sure to use proper torque specs.

Nicee. What are you suppose to torque them at then?.. Im planning on powder coating mines too.
