Anybody using a exhaust silencer? I have a Megan Full exhaust and want to quiet down things a bit on the street but at the track remove it. Obviously I won't boost while on the street. Found one on eBay for $7.99 free shipping. Anyone try these? Will this hurt my motor? I have full boltons on E85 with stock bottom end.

 

Def will put you down on power. Why not do an option like the boost activated test pipe from English racing? Or something like that?

2 things you say your going to stay off boost that will be very hard especially in a evo lol also i have that same exhaust with a down pipe and test pipe and not too load.They do make these flapper don't know the name that goes in the exhaust almost like a throttle plate to have it fully open or closed that could be also an option to look at

I purchased the $8 silencer and installed it. Wow does it make a huge difference! I am getting better cold starts since I'm on e85 and it's not much quieter then the stock exhaust.
