Amsoil Dominator racing 10w30 or Eneos 0w50?

Hi it's my first time here, glad to know there's a lot if evo enthusiasts like me. Okay, so I have been using the regular Amsoil 10w30 . I have been told that my next oil Change, which is a couple of hundreds of miles away, I should change my oil to any of the two mentioned above to "Max out" my Evo IX's performance. I'm a newbie when it comes to these things so bear with me. I appreciate all the answers and suggestions. Thanks Guys!

Id like to know how oil can "max out" performance

Stick to the normal amsoil 10w30. No need for the more expensive stuff, sounds to me someone is just trying to get more money out of you

Zrod 10w30 will do a well job on a highly modified evo and is cheaper

any mods to the car or is it stock? if you are stock or just a few bolt ons then stick to what your using or even whats written on your oil cap. If you are running higher lift cams then its a good measure to consider something with more zddp (zinc). Keep in mind that running oils with higher zinc may be detrimental in the long run to your catalytic converter though.

I have only one experience with Eneos and I didn't really care for it. It made my topline lifters really noisy at idle. I have a video on here of warm idle between amsoil zrod and eneos. To be somewhat fair, the eneos is likely to be on the thinner end of a 30wt oil. It drained out with the same consistence that Penn Ultra 10w30 did when I tried that, and that oil is on the thinner end according to my UOA.

I have no beef with that oil, I think my motor just likes slightly thicker oil.
