Is my Evo's frame done? Body shop printout/pics (part 2)

Original post is here.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ffy-frame.html

They hooked up the machine to get a print out. As you can see in the pics, my Cusco bar is bent, which shows the car's frame has been pushed in a bit.

Here's the frame readout. I don't know what I'm really looking at, but I assume red = bad. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6228112/frame.pdf

Here's the URL for the pictures: http://imgur.com/a/PuqjU , I've added 5 new ones showing the oil.

The tow company called me and said that they flatbedded it. I don't know whether to believe them or not. They insisted I put it on the estimate.

Thanks for any input...

If they really flatbeded there should be visible fresh marks on your tow hook and under panel from their hook.you know to pull your car on the bed.Evo tow hook is not that big and hook from the tow truck definitely would leave some kind of marks.

Try to have insurance declare it a total loss. Then see how much they want to buy it back. Might be worth it for parts.

I had it flatbeded out of here, so that's not going to work.

****However.... I talked to the storage lot and the guy saw it go out... on a 2 wheel tow truck. He said he has no problem with telling the insurance and I have his name. So I'm sending that up.

I also took pictures of the tires, and it appears there are clamp marks on them. There is a big patch of dirt on both front wheels where the car was towed and rub marks from the sides of the wheels. I have lots of pictures and I told the body shop I was taking the wheels back.

I'm going to put the pics up pretty soon (wheel ones).

Good to hear that you have a witness to the towing company's mistake! That's going to be huge in getting USAA to approve the drivetrain repairs/replacements. Keep on them piranha!

I can. I had this happen before with an s10. I expected them to lie. I mean, if they have to crap out another tcase, it's what, 4 grand for a new one? Between checking the frame and this, ugh.

I have figured out how to read the frame diagram. The frame checker is by Chief Automotive. Reading some of their manuals, the numbers I have show that both my frame rails are 3mm pushed in (by my interpretation). Just eyeing the cusco bar, that would make sense the way it's bent upward.

I left a message with my insurance adjuster saying this isn't acceptable and I will not accept the car back in this condition without the frame being adjusted. If they want to total it, that is fine. I don't care, but I'm not taking something back with a tweaked frame. So we'll see how it goes.
