I have an EVO4 I have been using for the last 3 years on the track. I had suspicions the rings were on there way out and today was the final straw that broke the Camels back so to speak.
As it's basically stock other than 3 inch exhaust I would like to screw a few extra KW's from it so I would like to know the best brand of rings and also what recommended cams I should use. I can do my own tuning but would also need some basic guidance on what to do with the chosen cams I install.
ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED.

It's probably worth searching a bit. There are plenty of good cams, and there's a thread that discusses them. BUT... it might be worth noting what exactly your goals are since there are obviously aggressive cams, and not so aggressive cams. Etc...

What I am after is about 50 extra HP and after speaking to a good friend in the engine game said to stick with the std cams and run 3lb extra boost. The other suggestion is to run methanol injection so thinking along those lines. I pulled the engine apart and found 1 broken piston ring land between the top and bottom compression ring which to me is unusual. I would have thought that detonation might break rings first but not the case.
