Hello everyone so the other day i was driving and my power steering went out, so when i got home a took a look under the hood. I realized that my ac compressor broke off the block of my evo 8 which caused the serpentine belt to come off. I took it to a shop and had them take a look at it. My thinking was that i could just remove the ac compressor and lines all together and just use a smaller belt and just deal with no A.C. But the shop said that i need some sort of A.C. bypass bracket or valve to have the motor run properly, i cant remember fully what they said, but to me it seems fishy. So i need to know if i can just remove the ac components and just get a smaller belt and run the car with no negative affects to the motor without the A.C..

Yes you can!! Just need shorter belt. Check in the part number thread or search it you'll find the part number
