Where can I go to purchase an evo in the US or Canada?

i have saved enough money to purchase an evo however where i live there are almost none for sale (Evo viii, ix) and i live in vancouver bc, Canada.

If anyone or where to buy an affordable evo near me within a 3 hour drive(USA or Canada) please help!

If it is in the US would anyone know how much the import fee would be?

Go to California to get one.
I picked mine up in Sacramento last year.
No rust, the underside looked like it just rolled out of the showroom.

Its definitely worth the drive. Can be a fun road trip if you can convince a friend to go with you.

Possibly a stupid question, but how could I know the car is in good condition. I mean surely the pictures can't describe everything. Like what if the clutch was
Messed up or something. How could I know for sure the car is in good condition for me to drive out that far.

Search for a reputable shop in the area, tell the seller to take it to them and have it inspected.

It would be easier to fly down and have seller pick you up at the airport.
Have a few things lined up in case the sale doesn't work out.

Go trolling Craigslist in the more southern US states where they do not use de-icing chemicals. These cars rust if used in winter environments.

Best to buy a car in a city where you know somebody that knows the cars well or where there is a shop you can trust to do an inspection.

Oregon does not use deicing chemicals to my knowledge. Good place to buy cars if you are in Vancouver. I found my IX on Portland Craigslist ...

If you can stomach RHD earlier cars here are a few:

Thanks for this. Very helpful. I just have to manage to find a trustworthy shop which I'm having difficulties with since I have never been to those shops before. Wish me luck hHa

If you can find one near English racing, it's just past Seattle.

That's where I'm going to get tuned after I put in my cams. Most trustworthy shop around imo.

many places. look for the pacific northwest or northwest threads here on evom. if you are on facebook, look up northwest evos. then there is seattle and portland craigslist.

this is a good community. chances are someone might know about the evo that is for sale. many will vouch for the car if its good.

+1 for English Racing
