evo churping noise, pls help!

evo churping noise, pls help!

Hey there hopefully someone can help me , I've linked a video of me revving my engine and there is a chirping noise coming from it(its an evo 6) , could anyone tell me what this is or could be ? thanks A lot!

I think it may be my alternator, sound is coming from there could anyone confirm this?thanks

maybe be the belt that's making that noise if you have penetrating oil spray that on the belt and see if that sound goes away if it dose you will have to replace the drive belt

I did spray the belt/bearings around the alternator and it goes away for maybe a minute then it's back . All the belts look completely normal tho hmm not sure what else it could be

I found where the noise was coming from exactly it's the pulley right next to the engine , I'm guessing I have to take the wheel and liner out to get at it hey?

so I checked the pulleys today and they all seem fine, the belt is also good I found out it was changed 2500 km ago. no idea whats making the noise now

Did you remove the pulleys from the car? If not you need to. Once removed you need to hold in one hand and spin with other, then make sure it spins nice and smooth. If that is all good then slowly turn making sure it doesn't hang up as you turn it.
