So I am very new to Evo's. Bought an Pretty stock Evo 8 just a few days ago and was wondering why the Bov on these 4g63's is on the intake pipe? I'm used to seeing it on the inter cooler piping. Thanks!

 

It's on the I/c piping. How could a blog do anything on the intake pipe. Check the piping again until ur familiar with what's going on under the engine bay... If it was rocket science then they would be rockets not cars

 

Yeah unless you got one of those special NA evo's then the BOV is on the upper intercooler pipe.

What might be confusing you is that the pipe attached to the throttle body is actually part of the intercooler piping. In stock form you should also see a smaller hose going into the actuall intake pipe. If this doesn't clear things up you may not be as stock as you think & should probably post up some pictures of your setup.

 

I have a Synapse diverter valve(recirculated). It's attached to the IC pipe, but has a hose that comes off the end of the unit and runs straight to my Perrin intake. Post some pictures dude!

 

This confused me to no end at first. The BOV needs to recirculate from the IC back to the intake piping so that the computer knows how much air is going through the system at all times.
