Ok so I have a boost problem... Up until today she would boost smooth and fast and peak at just below 1.3 bar and and drop to 1.2 and stay there. The car would haul *** and accelerate to redline no issues at all. Well tonight on the way home it pulls to about 1.1 or one bar and starts "stammering" or "bogging" I guess is a good word for it. I can take the engine right up to redline without boost with no problems. I actually noticed it the last few days. It would do it like once and I could never duplicate it when I tried. Now it's consistent. I haven't done anything other than change the oil a week ago. I guess I really don't know where to start trying to diagnose the issue. Boost leak, fuel issue, vacuum issue maybe, MAF maybe? I am building a boost leak tester tomorrow hoping that it will be a simple leak. Also ordering a wideband O2 kit so hopefully that will be here soon. If I got Evoscan or something similar would it help me figure this out. There's really nowhere around here I can take the IV to or find anybody with any experience with them locally any ideas?

 

Start with basics too, make sure you don't have worn out spark plugs as well. I'd pull the plugs and check the conditions and gap on them first since its a pretty easy procedure.

Definitely check for boost leaks as well.
