I do know of 2 former Mitsubishi dealerships that became KIA dealerships in recent years. Wonder if that's just coincidence or if there's something to that. If the technicians stayed after the conversion they at least have some familiarity with the KIA products if they are using Mits parts.

Isn't the Evo X engine a variant of the one in the turbo genesis coupe?

 

I believe the Genesis and new turbo Sonata uses a 4b11 based engine.

 

Also - how long have you been looking for that JDM rear bumper? I'm guessing that sale price on lancershop is the best deal currently, but does anybody else come close? Just wondering if I should put some urgency into getting one now at that price. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can, we've been doing it for years. That's where half of these 2.4l blocks for 2.4 builds come from. You want to know something even more interesting, I have a Curt Brown fully built kia head for my evo at the shop right now. Next time I'm out there I will take a few pics.
