Guys im about to buy some kelfords 280/282 for my evo 9 but im still on stock turbo (i will upgrade maybe to an fp green or black)... I already have supertech dual springs and retainers... What u guys think, please need some opinions... Thanks!

 

Ask your tuner. i know English racing ran gsc s3 on a stock turbo and said it was fine. I would not see why The Kelfords would be any different since i think they are about the same size.

depends on your goals. my kelford 272's on this old 9.8 turbo works well. But like above, i have seen the s3's on a stock turbo working well. even with the cams you want, it leaves good room for more power. i say do it.

 

I've seen S3s on stock turbo respond well, kelford 280s are similar so I think you will be fine

 

I run s3 cams with my stock 9 turbo. no issues here.

 

You should be fine. I ran s3 with stock turbo for a month before upgrade the turbo. I did notice a little bit more turbo lag.
