(FEELER) 800 hp Evo, sell as whole or part out?

i have a 2003 WW evo 8 body has 100k miles and the whole drive train, engine, wheels, brakes, only have 4500. turbo has 500miles because i upgraded from 6262 beginning of summer. i have lost interest in the car, but do not NEED to sell so i can sit on it for awhile. the car will go up for sale toward the end of summer.
my question is, do you think it would be better to sell outright as a whole car.(id like about 25k-29k) or better off leaving built longblock in, stock turbo , sell car that way and sell the big boy parts separately? ( would probably end up with 20k 24k)
basically what is more likely to sell? a bolt on 500 hp ready car. or a 800+ hp turn key drag/Mexico racing car ?

your car without the built motor and all would probably pull more around 16k since it is an 03, clean as it is. Honestly, you have put so much in it that I personally wouldn't sell it. When I bought my evo I made the decision to not ever sell it because I know I'll never get the amount of money that I put into the car back.

I would say put the car up for 27k OBO and take at the least 25k. If the car doesn't sell then I would start the part out process as it is easy to sell your evo for around 16k because it is reasonable for a bank to give someone a loan for 16k to buy your car just looking at the blue book value.

If I were you, I would just sell it to me for next to nothing...

But it looks like you have some quality parts there and I would post the car up as is. You may have to be patient for the right buyer but it'll pay off. Good luck!

yeah i was looking to post up as a whole car. everywhere, like local sale sites, ebay, here, craigslist.. id let it sit on here first for awhile for a better price of coarse. but i was just basically looking to see what the "people" are paying or willing to pay and what the market is at for high HP cars so i know where to start and not need a fire suit for when the flaming of m price begins hahah

I think you are better off parting it out if you really wanted to get rid of it. Very clean car.

I have a few parts that I want off of there that is for sure if you do decide to sell it. I think if you were to convert it back to a mild bolt on build and part out other items you would make 5-7k more but I know it feels horrible breaking a car down when it is your baby.
