jdm evo 7 vc and stm fittings

How is everyone running their catchcans on evo 7 vc's? I recently had a e7 cover coated and was unaware the vent in the rear is larger on the 7 cover than the 8 so the press fitting doesnt work. In turn neither will the stm fitings. Im wanting to run the standard stm can with -6an fitings. I do not want to rig this tomake Iit work but I have searched and searched and it looks like thats the only way besides running a -10an fitting and having to cut the brand new fitting off the stm can and replacing it as well.

If you want to save some cash, run to pepboys and pick up a early 90's Honda rubber pcv grommet. Stick your pcv elbow in that way. Make sure its tight with no leaks. If you want to run a catch can contact STM

All JDM valve covers run a rubber gasket there instead of the stock aluminum one found on US Evos. It should slide right in. If you don't have the rubber gasket, You can buy it (part number is 1057A033) or try to find someone that will grind you one. A lot of Dodge and Chrysler cars run this too so it's easy to find anywhere.

As for me, I had my friend make some press in collar.

The top one is the OEM one found on US Evos.

The 2nd picture is an extra collar he made. If you're interested, PM me and I'll send it out to you.

Im curious, has anyone found a solution? I just purchased a new JDM 7 valve cover and trying to retrofit it to work with SMT -6an push fittings.

Any information on what would work as far as fitting an AN fitting into the PCV port of an Evo 7 valve cover? I've heard some people have an NPT fitting machined to fit the JDM valve cover and epoxy it into place. Can a fitting made for the USDM cover be installed into the JDM cover, with JB Weld or something like that?

Thanks,
JCG
