I dd 820whp Evo (6466) on completely stock drivetrain (107Kmiles except factory refreshed tranny) Car has made close to 20 passes. Daily is like driving a Honda civic until it goes into boost, in which it feels like the eyes are going to pop out of your head

I'm already there so i'll have to push for maybe 620-650 no changes to the turbo tho.

What clutch was in it? Until I get my car back permanently I'm looking for a streetable clutch that can handle the power going through mine. I don't want spend 3k on a clutch if I dont have to (Been there done that).

550 on a mustang dyno is where my 93 tune will end up more then likely and this is where it will live most of the time when I do get it back. I dont want to break anything after such a long time waiting.

If reliable ~600whp is your goal and you are not set on awd, get a corvette.

Exedy Triple. Very easy to daily drive. Makes a bit of noise, but not bad. Seemed to shift well at high rpm.

The rattle of multi-plate clutches drives me bonkers. I am looking into this unit:

That is not a clutch you can launch though, FYI.

Yeah, I don't care for the noise either. The Speed Sport look interesting to me as well. So far my Blade is holding fine, but if/when it starts slipping, I'll be giving this clutch consideration.

What's the Blade rated at again? How many miles do you have on it? I was looking into that one, until it was discontinued (or unavailable) briefly.

J Bordonaro has been running the SPeed SPort on his Evo and only has good things to say about it:

The Blade is once again available:

http://www.ppi-ats.com/Carbon_blade_...de_clutch.html

The published rating of the Full Blade is only 380 ft-lbs, but FWIW, its holding 500+ whp and 425 ft-lbs just fine.

Does Bordonaro have any written comments anywhere on the Speed Sport?

I agree with a couple of the other posters. fast, reliable, or cheap choose two because you cant have all three. sure you can have a reliable fast evo, but it wont be cheap. Plus 600+ hp on a daily driven evo is really fast. IMO smaller turbos on higher boost are better for street and DD cars. Dont get caught up with horse power numbers 500whp with a faster spool will be more fun than a laggy 600whp big turbo.
